A while ago I approached Diana with the idea that we should do a photoshoot with some leaves. As is often the case, the original idea needed some adjustments, and then one thing lead to another and what resulted in the end had very little to do with the idea that started it all.
I am a firm believer of that theory that says it’s good to have a plan, but it’s better to be able to adapt it when the real-world conditions change. And that is what we did. This aerial view was shot in a spot where the light was less harsh, and where the field was covered in leaves from nearby trees. Granted, we did spend some 20-ish minutes gathering leaves of similar size and colour and scattered them around that area to make some pleasantly balanced dispersion. Yes, some photoshopping was also needed. Okay… a lot of phoshopping… But in the end it was worth it, as it was my first picture to be featured on three independent, unaffiliated platforms.
Of course while we still had the light we had to do some classical autumn photos among trees. I will leave some of them here for your viewing pleasure. Those of you with a keen interest in fantasy literature might already know what inspired me when framing the dress/trees combo. 😉
